According to our information, on May 25, Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at Baranavichy airfield from Seshcha (Russia).
These are the first and so far the only military helicopters since the withdrawal of the helicopter group of the Russian Armed Forces from Belarus in August 2023.
In total, two Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft and at least four Su-30SM fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, one Mi-24 helicopter and one Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Aerospace Forces are now permanently stationed at the airfield in Baranavichy. Also, Il-22PP aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces is stationed at Lida airfield.
The two fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces that arrived to escort Putin’s twin planes left Belarus along with Putin’s planes on the night of May 25.
