Repair of the runway and aircraft shelters. Development of infrastructure of Lida airfield continues

The Command of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of Belarus has planned new investments in the infrastructure of Lida airfield. The 116th Assault Air Base (military unit 19764) is located at the airfield. The main armament of the airbase is 22 Su-25 attack aircraft (some of them are Su-25UB combat trainers). About 20 more Su-25 may be in storage. The airbase also has combat trainer aircraft (10 L-39 and 11 Yak-130).

In June-July 2024, 280 „smooth airfield slabs” will be purchased for the airfield. 301,658 BYN ($92,675) will be spent on their purchase.

PAG-14 slabs are used to build runways at airfields, as well as taxiways, parking lots for aircraft, etc. The purchased slabs are enough to replace the pavement on about 85 meters of the airfield runway.

In 2023, 266 PAG-14 slabs were purchased to repair the runway in Lida. We cab state ...
