RT @JamieMctrusty: 25th/26th April 1940. The first Bomber Command aircraft lost to a German night fighter was Hampden L4040 of 49 Squadron. The aircraft, on a minelaying sortie to the Baltic, was brought down near Hornum by a Bf109D flown by Ofw. Hermann Förster of 11.(N)JG2. All four crewmen in the Hampden were killed.

1) Bf109D-1 of 11.(N)JG2. At this stage of the war, there was no organised Luftwaffe night fighter arm, with nocturnal defensive duties confined almost entirely to flak. (N)JG2 was essentially an experimental unit, with pilots looking for aircraft illuminated by searchlights. Some aircraft flew with the cockpit canopy removed to reduce glare.

Have several dozen nuclear warheads been brought to Belarus?
Lukashenka said that several dozen nuclear warheads had been deployed in Belarus. According to him, these are bombs and warheads for missiles. He also said that Belarus doesn’t need strategic nuclear weapons, but tactical ones are necessary.
Commentary of the Belarusian Hajun monitoring group:
At the moment, as before, there are no real confirmations of his words. During the entire monitoring period, we haven’t recorded any facts that would confirm the delivery and presence of TNWs on the territory of Belarus.
