Belarusian political prisoner Ihar Lednik died in prison. He was an activist and former member of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party. He was detained on April 18, 2022 and sentenced to 3 years in prison for “slandering Lukashenka”.
Ihar had a group 2 disability due to heart problems. According to the Belarusian Social Democratic Party, his health condition worsened in prison and he underwent surgery.
