RT @JamieMctrusty: 19th January 1915. The first Zeppelin raid on Britain took place, with German Naval airships L3 and L4 dropping bombs on Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn. Four people were killed and several more wounded; in the course of 52 Zeppelin attacks during the First World War, there would be 556 fatalities and 1,357 injuries.

(R) Rifle range target card of L3, scoring extra points for hitting the control and engine gondolas. In reality, L3 force-landed in Denmark on 17th February 1915 after being blown off course by strong winds after an engine failure. It was set on fire by the crew, who were interned.
