When Russian planes and a helicopter were shot down over the Bryansk region and in a number of other cases, some Russian sources also reported that it was friendly fire. It seems that sometimes it is easier for them to say that they themselves shot down their plane than that it was shot down by their enemy. But if it was still friendly fire, then the Russian air defense operator who fired missiles at an A-50 flying the same route for about a year should definitely be given a medal.
