According to the Ukrainian Air Force, these weapons were launched by Russia at Ukraine this morning:

- 8 Shahed 136/131 loitering munitions;
- 7 S-300/S-400 missiles;
- 4 Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles from MiG-31I carriers;
- 24 Kh-55/101/555 air-launched cruise missiles from 11 Tu-95MS strategic bombers;
- 8 Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 bombers;
- 6 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 2 Kh-31P air-launched anti-radiation missiles from tactical aircraft;

Ukrainian Air Force claimed the interception of 8 Shahed-136/131 loitering munitions and 18 Kh-55/101/555 air-launched cruise missiles.

This is mainly due to the severe lack of Patriot air defense systems that are needed in Ukraine

Ukraine only has 3 Patriot Batteries capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, meaning the vast majority of Ukraine has no ability to intercept Kinzhal, Iskander, and Kh-22 Missiles

@Kubag1414: Because a Kh-22 was never fired at the Patriot in Kyiv yet. Russia uses more advanced missiles like Kinzhal and Iskander-M when firing at the city of Kyiv

Kh-22s are usually fired at other cities/regions like Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Kharkiv…

@xxxTtimexxx @cym27s: There is no evidence of a Patriot being destroyed. When the Patriot initially arrived a year ago, there were missiles fired at it that fell and exploded near the Patriot in Kyiv, they did minimal damage.

A week later there were geolocated videos of that Patriot firing from Kyiv.

There is no evidence of a Patriot being destroyed, other than the minimal damage that was done in the attacked that I explained from a year ago. It wasn’t destroyed then and was firing missiles the next week.

Russia has +400 long-range missiles that Ukraine would not be able to shoot down if they were fired at almost all Ukrainian cities except for Kyiv

This lead to a big backlash from Ukraine asking residents not to post videos of air defense positions.

The anonymous US official that talked to CNN, said the Patriot could be repaired quickly in Ukraine then CNN clarified their report saying the damage was minimal. It was since the Patriot was operating the next week, it was not destroyed.

If it was serious then the Patriot would have needed to be taken out of the country, but the US official in your article said it could be repaired in Ukraine and it was quickly.

None of the articles say it was destroyed, and reality showed us it was operating the next week meaning it was repaired quickly.
