Video from the Azov regiment showing Ukrainian tanks firing on Russian positions reportedly from Mariupol. I could be wrong, but I don’t remember seeing much snow in Mariupol recently.

I think there are some clear limitations of what the Russian military can achieve in Ukraine at this point, including taking many cities, but the Russian military can still inflict plenty of damage on Ukraine and the Ukrainian military, particularly in the JFO area.

@EmmaMAshford:
DC’s foreign policy discourse is so strange. Three weeks from the start of war that everyone expected Ukraine to lose, I’m now having to manage expectations about the fact a Ukrainian victory might only result in negotiated settlement, not Russia’s unconditional surrender.

The Russian pursued too many objectives in Ukraine, including Odesa, Kyiv, the big cities in the NE, Mariupol, occupying the south, and encircling the JFO. If they scale back some of these objectives and focus on Ukrainian forces in the JFO, I think they can still do real damage.

25. Following my confirmation of location in tweet 24, here in two links are better images of both RuAF pontoon bridges on the Siverskyi Donets River. First is 3 km SW of Izyum, the second, set up later, approx 4km SW. h/t @john_marquee for finding the 2nd.

This satellite image taken on 12 March shows the eastern pontoon bridge over the Siversky Donets River. The second bridge, further west, was installed between 19 and 22 March. https://t.co/ca4UJITaZP https://t.co/SW9wPLW6P7

This is false. Literally every day we see videos of Russian attack helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft operating during the day in the south. Just because they changed certain TTPs around Kyiv, doesn't mean that applies everywhere.

5) "Realizing that the Ukrainians lack thermal sights for their stinger missile launchers, the Russians have switched all air operations to after dark. It may be for this same reason that Russian cruise missile strikes in western and southern Ukraine have also been at nighttime."

You can drop bombs at night on infrastructure targets, but close air support is much more difficult to do, especially near friendly forces, which is why they're doing much of that during the day. Just look at Mariupol.

@ChrisShire I agree, I think attrition has taken its toll I just wouldn't say this war is over yet and the JFO is most concerning area.
