The former commander of the Russian 1065th VDV Guards Artillery Regiment of the 98th Guards Airborne Division from Ivanovo, Colonel Alexey Koblov, was killed in Ukraine on November 1, 2023.
According to available information, in the past, Colonel Alexey Koblov performed "peacekeeping tasks" on the territory of Abkhazia and participated in counter-terrorist operations in North Caucasus.
He was buried in Kostroma, where located is the home-base of the 1065th VDV Guards Artillery Regiment.
