The commander of the Russian Dnipro grouping of forces in southern Ukraine, Colonel General Oleg Makarevich, was removed from his post.
He was replaced by Colonel General Mikhail Teplinsky, Russian sources say. Teplinsky was serving as the commander of the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) since June 2022.

Communications in the Gaza Strip, cut by Israel on Friday night, were partially restored on Sunday morning at the Biden administration’s urging, according to a senior US official.
“We made it clear they had to be turned back on,” said one US official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive negotiations. “The communications are back on. They need to stay back on.”
