Comments by Nammo to the Norwegian Parliament, as part of the work on the 2024 defense budget, is an interesting read.
Nammo assesses current European annual artillery shell production at below 500 000 shells a year.
To cope with demand, both to sustain Ukraine and to refill NATO stocks, big investments and government action is urgently required according to NAMMO and I agree.

There has been a fire onboard the not-yet commissioned Jan Mayen-class coast guard ship Hopen today which is fitting out at Vard Shipyard, Tomrefjord, Møre og Romsdal.
Fire broke out in a battery room, cause unknown.
