Yuvileine which got hit today is a huge garrison and an important C2 node. The russians like to set up in and around mines. It's very likely they use the mines to be somewhat protected.

This is why it's much harder to take out entrenched units. You need a direct hit to do damage. A few meters off wont do it. But first you need to be able to spot it.
