RT @Tendar: There are indicators which can tell you the inner state of a regime and this is one.

Prigozhin not only openly defies 8 years of Kremlin narrative but also calls the 2 major reasons, which Putin specifically named for starting this war, BS.

He cleverly avoids though naming the… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1672191590595715073

/2. “In addition to the Marders ordered to date, Rheinmetall can make a further sixty available. Work on this is already underway at Rheinmetall’s plants in Kassel and Unterlüß. Up to ten infantry fighting vehicles can be delivered per month.”

/2. Some sources report that the strike in Hehichesk was inflicted on the location of the personnel of the National Guard of Russia. But it is too early to speak about the reliability of the information.

A video of two piles of black smoke rising from the targeted sites in Russia-occupied Henichesk.

According to the cameraman, it was a Rosgvardiya's base.

Interesting question raised here.

One of the solutions I see is underlining the fact that what is being mapped/marked is only an element of the brigade.

Below is an example from my Google Earth project of how I did it when one unit had a number of bases in distant locations.

From a thread on mapping Russian unit deployments.

Creating an accurate depiction of composit / task organized units or groupings isn't easy relying only on open sources.

In addition to the "old", regular units, there's all the new formations too: Voulenteers, PMCs, mobiks

5/ The russian military's efforts to be more flexible and mission-oriented have created a complex and difficult-to-track situation. While a solution is not readily available, it is important for the OSINT community to acknowledge this issue and engage in future discussions

This creates a challenge for the map-makers, as often there isn't enough info to go below the brigade/regiment level and for the whole theatre, this is a very time consuming process.

When looking at such maps, being aware of these challenges and acknowledging uncertainty is important. This is part of the nature of war, prehaps easy to forget.

This isn't criticism of anyone. I greatly appreciate the efforts of those who's maps I regularly look at.

I don't have any good solutions as mapping deployments are challenging. Visibility is often limited and the information at hand fragmented.

Prehaps increasing awareness of these issues is the best course of action, as the OS picture always will be imperfect, work in progress

Addendum:

When I write about current deployments, operations or actions, I try to write "elements of", especially for divisions and brigades, as operating as a full unit is rare.
