The last time Western countries tried something like this was in Korea, supported by intensive air airpowe, which Ukraine doesn't have.

While I previously have been talking about managing expectations, don't loose heart after a few probing actions.

@A01895559 Can't compare it to the reach, intensity and firepower delivered by airpower in all major Western offensives since about '42/'43.

Especially the limited means Ukraine has to reach beyond tube artillery, considering the scale of the battlefield and size of the Russian forces.

Khodakovsky says the situation in the Novodonetske and Velika Novosilka area is difficult and says Ukraine found weak points. He says Leopard tanks were seen for the first time in that area.

The LRA bombers did not head south to fly against the USS Gerald R Ford.
