First sizable UAV raid on Moscow.
I do believe this was a Ukrainian operation and don't think anyone should be surprised that they are retaliating this way. Look at what Budanov said yesterday.
Damage may be limited, but the atmosphere of war has reached Moscow.

@MarQs__ I don't know why people immediately jump on the false flag theories when things go boom inside Russia. The war didn't start yesterday.

@grahamsurrey @MarQs__ We have no idea what the actual targets/aim-points were, nor the accuracy of the UAVs used. Defensive actions; electronic warfare and air defense engagements may cause undesired impacts.
This might be unpopular, but the same likely applies to a number of Russian strikes as well

It may be easy to make fun of this statement, but this is likely what happened. The final air defence layer seems to have been reasonably effective today
Also, that the UAVs weren't engaged before reaching Moscow doesn't mean they weren't tracked, atleast intermittently, enroute
-----------
@NOELreports:
Andrey Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defense Committee, commented on the drone attack on Moscow.
"We have a very large country and there is always a loophole where a drone can fly by bypassing the areas where air defense systems are located" https://t.co/z7Zjef65DX

@Doha104p3 The JSOW is a glide bomb it needs to be released at a high altitude. It is not a long range missile. If released at low altitudes it will go less than 50km
Ukraine is asking for long range missiles. LRASM is one of the only anti-ship missiles that can reach most of the Black Sea
