To remain serious here with a focus on defensive operations from fortified lines:
For a mobilized (motorized) rifle regiment, having some T-54/55s in support is better than no armor support at all.

In Russia, trains with ancient T-54/55 were seen, which were withdrawn from storage bases. It is said to be the first recorded instance of T-54/55 withdrawal from storage.
