GUR claims Russia is starting a strategic exercise to "disrupt" Biden's visit to Europe. The Plesetsk to Kura NOTAMs seems to have been canceled though. They were active earlier today.
Have had a feeling such an exercise was looming.
We'll see what happens.

GUR claims Russia is starting a strategic exercise to "disrupt" Biden's visit to Europe. The Plesetsk to Kura NOTAMs seems to have been canceled though. They were active earlier today.
Have had a feeling such an exercise was looming.
We'll see what happens.

As for NOTAMs indicating strategic forces activity, we have had the Plesetsk to Kura, which seems to have been canceled and one for the Kara Sea/Pemboy Test Range. For the latter, currently only active over water.
There has been no warnings indicating SLBM launches.

Although Russia now has a large force, it depends heavily on more elite units to actually assault Ukrainian positions, including VDV, naval infantry, Wagner assault units, etc. which are a smaller share. Once those units take losses, Russia's offensive potential declines.
