@Spectre8500 I believe buying new MBTs is the right choice, as does the Army. There may have been more that meets the eye on our Chief of Defence recommendation, that will become clearer with time.
Now is not the time to bet our Army's capabilities on some unproven theoretical concepts.

@ErnstGhost @Spectre8500 Combined arms is still the answer and we need a full system, incl MBTs.
By wavering heavy units for light units supported by long range fires, as some have advocated, you loose the ability to make meaningful counterattacks and retake terrain.

Logistics, training, the relationship and military cooperation with Germany and our Nordic allies was likely what tipped it in favor of the Leopard.

#Ukraine: Footage of the Ukrainian 35th Marine Brigade again firing the old and very powerful M-240 240mm mortar, this time using RAP ammunition - either the 3F2 HE-Frag or 3O8 cargo mortar bombs.
These have a range of up to ~20km.
