@stubbornella The Russian units didn't know they were going to war, so the tanks weren't ready, they didn't have enough fuel, units didn't coordinate with infantry, etc. Many of those mistakes would not have been made by a NATO military, so it doesn't tell us tanks are no longer relevant.

@robert51300 That the first month demonstrated tanks were obsolete. Their vulnerabilities are well known and there are ways to mitigate them, which Russia did not do in the first month.

#Ukraine: Another type of 🇮🇷 Iranian-made ammunition was spotted in use with the Ukrainian army - this time 122mm HE-FRAG "Grad" rockets of the Arash family, made in 2022.
Perhaps Iranian sales aren't based on geopolitics?

The rockets can be identified as Iranian by a set of features characteristic of rockets produced in that country - distinctive black end caps, a DM111-type fuze and standard Iranian ammunition markings.

More about diverse Iranian ammunition documented by us in Ukraine:
-----------
@UAWeapons:
#Ukraine: The Ukrainian army has received more Iranian-made 🇮🇷 ammunition - in addition to 122mm, 152mm HE projectiles (for D-20 howitzers and 2S3 Akatsiya SPG) have also appeared. Like last time, these projectiles were manufactured in 2022.

@rulepanic Given the quantity of these rockets and other Iranian ammunition we see in Ukraine - this is one of the least probable possibilities.

@macheezay We were the first who came up with the theory about possible "Houthi" origin when the first Iranian materiel appeared in Ukraine - but with more and more coming including things never documented in Yemen, the Houthi theory seems unlikely.
