Here is what I believe:
The retreat has been going on for weeks.
There is only a small number of troops left east of the river, mostly lower valued units like mobniks and goat lovers. Some will most likely be sacrificed to cover the retreat of the last units

Announcing it on TV gives the Russian leadership a chance to save face. Kadyrov and Prigozhin immediately came with statement saying Surovikin was very brave and that he saved a lot of Russian lives. This announcement was purely for domestic propaganda.
Def Mon (Twitter)

They can now say they saved thousands of russians lives. They did not lose the fight in Kherson, but they decided to leave because fighting against NATO would just be too costly.

As a side note, i think the attack on Kerch bridge played a huge role in this. And it's probably why we see them trying so hard around Pavlivka.

I agree with @georgian_legion
Vatnik tears are like energy drinks for me.

@Oofyaa_uk Yeah, but who cares about that when they just saved all those Russian lives.
Def Mon (Twitter)

@buermoy I don't think there will be a disaster, so i don't trust that statement.

Some wise words from @GeoConfirmed

@GeoConfirmed:
Little thread on the ATACMS issue.

In our thread about the Kerch bridge we had no reason to believe ATACMS was used.

Ukraine does not have ATACMS and the damage didn't correlate at all with ATACMS. 👇

Allegedly, the Russians are doing some motorboating in Kherson. But it's not the kind you would want to do with Pamela Andersson, it's the kind where you flee over a river at night.

Kherson Front Map (November 10)

Nadezhdivka and Myrolyubivka have been liberated by Ukrainian Forces; In Nadezhdivka about 1/3 of the population remained after occupation, says a resident

Three other villages were liberated: Myrne, Molodetske, and Znamianka

@NOELreports About two hours ago I spoke to someone in Oleksandrivka in Mykolaiv and they said it has not be fully liberated yet and that Russian Forces are still North of it. How far North, he doesn’t know.
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@NOELreports Yes, the Oleksandrivka circled in yellow is the one I am talking about, so Mykolaiv Oblast hasn’t been fully liberated yet. And Novotymofiivka, and Lymantsi on the right side of the Inhulets river in the Mykolaiv Oblast haven’t been liberated either

Barativka I do not know about

@nafo_boi @NOELreports The Oleksandrivka in Mykolaiv Oblast that is 20km South of Snihurivka.
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@MrsSNorman @NOELreports That’s in the City of Snihurivka, which is 20km North of Oleksandrivka. Snihurivka is the last city liberated but it is not the last village liberated in Mykolaiv Oblast.
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@MrsSNorman @NOELreports He said Snihurivka was the last place that Russian forces were in Mykolaiv Region which is wrong because there are 30 other villages South and Southwest of Snihurivka that were occupied. And villages on the Right side of Inhulets across the Dnipro River in Vasylivka and Pokrovka.
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@ManSalouh @NOELreports It’s false. The same statement was made by officials in Mykolaiv Oblast months ago saying the Mykolaiv Region was liberated when it wasn’t. Also Vasylivka, Pokrovka, Lymantsi, and Novotymofivka are not yet liberated. I’ll believe 🇺🇦residents and photos rather than some officials.
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@NOELreports @ManSalouh I was told a lot of Russian Forces were evacuating through Nova Kakhovka and also by boat. So I think that those villages West of Kherson City will be liberated very soon if they are not already yet liberated. Then Kherson City🇺🇦 then, lastly the right side of the Inhulets River.
