Today’s landing approach at the airfield in Machulishchy from Minsk is not something extraordinary. Given today’s weather conditions, the landing in Machulishchy is conducted from the north.

Also, they flew several circles before the landing most likely due to the fact that the pilots of MiG-31 were landing at Machulishchy airfield for the first time and were preliminary assessing the conditions on the runway.
