As a reminder, Russia deployed S-300PMU-2 systems to Syria after Syrian air defenses shot down a Russian Il-20 aircraft during an Israeli airstrike. Israel continued to conduct air strikes in Syria, including destroying Syrian Pantisir-S1 systems.
