🔻The Bank of France is building up a program to investigate the power of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC). The aforementioned bank currently is summoning applications to be submitted.
French central bank will select 10 CBDC applications with “innovative nature” and start testing the program by the end of first quarter of 2020. Applications are supposed to be submitted by European Union-based applicants.
CBDC has three objectives: modeling CBDC interbank settlement, identifying benefits and analyzing potential risks. This pioneering occurrence may facilitate financial sectors.
