Position Title: Digital Learning & Innovation Intern
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Duration: 3 - 6 months (with possible extension based on performance and institutional need)
Compensation: Unpaid Internship (Interns will receive a Certificate of Completion, Professional Mentorship, and Networking Opportunities)
About the Role
The Digital Learning & Innovation Intern will support CPID’s initiatives in digital learning, iHRIS (Human Resource Information System) management, business development, and digital communications. This internship provides hands-on experience in instructional design, digital platform management, project coordination, and institutional visibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Learning & Content Development
Assist in designing and developing digital learning materials (videos, quizzes, interactive content).
Support creation of engaging e-learning content using authoring tools.
Upload and manage content on the Learning Management System (LMS).
Provide technical assistance to instructors and learners.
Support revision and improvement of existing courses based on instructional design principles.
Contribute to accessibility enhancements of digital materials.
Qualifications: (Digital Learning & Content Development)
Final-year student or recent graduate in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Health Sciences, or related field.
Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas).
Experience with e-learning tools or instructional design is an asset.
2. iHRIS Support & Data Management
Support data entry, updates, and reporting in the iHRIS platform.
Provide user support and troubleshoot system-related issues.
Analyze HR data and generate reports.
Collaborate with IT teams to address technical challenges.
Qualifications: (iHRIS Support & Data Management)
Student or graduate in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Understanding of HRIS platforms, particularly iHRIS.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
3. Projects & Business Development
Assist in proposal writing and concept development.
Conduct research on trends in digital learning and institutional development, including grant seeking.
Map stakeholders and support partnership communications.
Contribute to the development of sustainable business models for digital initiatives.
Qualifications: (Projects & Business Development)
Background in Public Health, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields.
Interest or experience in business development or fundraising.
Strong writing and research skills.
4. Social Media & Digital Communications
Manage and update CPID’s social media accounts.
Develop and schedule engaging content for visibility and outreach.
Monitor social media analytics and engagement.
Support digital campaigns and multimedia production (graphics, reels, etc.).
Qualifications: (Social Media & Digital Communications)
Student or graduate in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields.
Experience managing social media accounts and content calendars.
Basic skills in graphic/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
Required Soft Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Creativity and attention to detail
Effective time management and self-direction
Flexibility and eagerness to learn in a dynamic setting
