From Sanjay Gupta: « On April 12, 2025, RCMP Sergeant Peter Merrifield and retired Vancouver detective Paul McNamara released a letter addressed to Prime Minister Mark Carney. In it, they accuse the Liberal government of serious misconduct, including illegal surveillance, breaches of national security, and the political misuse of intelligence. The letter specifically names nine current and former Liberal cabinet ministers, such as Chrystia Freeland, Anita Anand, Mélanie Joly, and Marco Mendicino. The authors claim to possess documentation, emails, and official records to support their allegations and have expressed willingness to testify before Parliament.
