1. Wrong action. Use the exact 3Commas keywords: enter_long, enter_short, exit_long, exit_short. Not "buy", not "sell". Anything else gets rejected.

2. Hardcoded values inside {{ }}. Double braces are for TradingView placeholders that fill in dynamically. To hardcode "BINANCE", write "tv_exchange": "BINANCE". Not "{{BINANCE}}".

3. Pair format. Signal Bot wants the instrument written precisely:

- Spot: BTCUSDT
- USDT-perp: BTCUSDT.P
- Inverse perp: BTCUSD.P

Building from a TradingView watchlist? Use "tv_instrument": "{{ticker}}" and let the placeholder fill itself.

One last thing: your secret and bot_uuid are credentials. Never share the full JSON publicly. If it leaks, delete the bot and start fresh.

Most traders pick the wrong order type. Here's how to pick the right one in 5 seconds:

🟢No urgency → Limit, slightly above support if you're buying, slightly below resistance if you're selling. Never at round numbers. The crowd sits there and price turns just short.

🟢Urgency → Market. Breakouts in motion and news events don't wait for your limit to fill.

🟢Protecting the downside → Stop-Market, not Stop-Limit. In a gap, a Stop-Limit can blow past your price without filling. You stay in a losing position. Stop-Market guarantees the exit.

🟢Taking profit → Limit at your target. Better: split across 2-3 targets and scale out as the trade works.
