TradingView is where you see signals. 3Commas is where they get traded.
Alerts on a chart are just notifications. They don't move size. To turn a TradingView alert into an actual position, you need a webhook handoff.
Here's the flow in 3Commas:
1. Set up a Signal Bot in 3Commas. You get a unique webhook URL and a message template.
2. In TradingView, create your alert with that webhook as the destination.
3. Paste the template body 3Commas gives you. It tells the bot exactly what to do.
4. The alert fires. Your bot receives the signal and opens the trade on your exchange.
Why it matters:
• Signal Bot runs on spot and futures across 7+ exchanges. No exchange offers webhook execution on spot.
• Built-in averaging, up to 8 take-profit targets, trailing TP and SL, breakeven. Plain TradingView webhooks don't give you that.

1. Wrong action. Use the exact 3Commas keywords: enter_long, enter_short, exit_long, exit_short. Not "buy", not "sell". Anything else gets rejected.
2. Hardcoded values inside {{ }}. Double braces are for TradingView placeholders that fill in dynamically. To hardcode "BINANCE", write "tv_exchange": "BINANCE". Not "{{BINANCE}}".
3. Pair format. Signal Bot wants the instrument written precisely:
- Spot: BTCUSDT
- USDT-perp: BTCUSDT.P
- Inverse perp: BTCUSD.P
