To strengthen our expanding team, Codingate Technology is seeking a Server Engineer. The largest code hosting platform in the technological industry can be operated and scaled securely mainly to the systems and tools that our team of site reliability engineers and server engineers has developed collaboratively. As a member of this team, you will develop, put into practice, and preserve organizational-wide features such secure provisioning, gateway access, identity and access management, and secret management. You'll constantly be tasked with figuring out intriguing and cutting-edge issues that have a direct bearing on how the rest of the world creates software.
KEY DUTIES
• Configuring and managing servers of different operating systems, such as Windows and Linux, including installing
• Fix issues and upgrade server application services to improve performance and reliability.
• Manage cloud server, and cloud infrastructure for company and customer.
• Create a server architecture solution for a customer's application requirements.
• Purchase new cloud server for customers.
• Manage service hosting with different platforms (AWS, Digital software... ).
• Manage and monitor domain name hosting.
• Setup and configure a development server, a UAT server, and a production server for internal or external development.
• Work with the development team to solve any issues that may be caused by the server or application service not running properly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Configure and setup web applications on an on-premise or cloud platform based on customer confirmation.
• Install related application service requirements to make sure the running application will work well.
• Install and update the application service to the latest version and support it with the application environment.
• Configure and monitor daily database backups on the server for the client's production environment.
• Configure and monitor daily data backups on the server for the client's production environment.
• Manage and authorize access to the server for the development team or customer.
• Setup cloud services (RDS, S3, OBS, EC2, ECS...) for specific features required by an application.
• Install and setup the MySQL service to connect with the application.
• Setup and configure the load balancer for the web application service.
• Propose cloud server and service specification and solution architecture to the customer.
• Provide the sales team with the total estimated cost of cloud server or service hosting.
• Purchase or transfer domain hosting for customers.
• Manage monthly renewal intervals on cloud server hosting, domain name hosting, and other services with a third party.
• Manage internal team ticket requests and deliver them according to the priority set.
• Troubleshooting server performance issues and ensuring it is running well
• Working with a third party solves any issues related to the hosting service.
• Manager-assigned on-site customer support
• Update weekly manager report on daily work load or issues.
JOB QUALIFICATION:
Knowledge and Skill
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
• 2 years’ experience in related skills.
• Good experience with the Linux environment.
• AWS or other cloud service certification is a top priority.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise
• Basic coding skills, such as HTML, JSON, Python, and other languages,
• Experience with Shell Script
• Good at English writing and speaking.
