What can you actually do with your SATπ€·ββοΈ
I think there are 2 main directions.
1β£ Try for the US
If you have a strong background, especiallynational/international Olympiads , serious extracurriculars, projects, leadership, etc., you can try for US universities and competitive scholarships.
But SAT is only one part of the application.
In my case, most of my Olympiad achievements were regional, which is obviously weaker compared to someone with national or international results.
I tried Duke Kunshan and got rejected without even getting an interview.
Of course, GPA, essays, recommendations and other things also play a role. But I'm talking specifically about the background here.
So if your background is really strong, definitely try the US.
2β£ Stay in Uzbekistan
And honestly, this is not a bad option at allπ
If you have 1200+, there are universities in Uzbekistan where you can compete for major scholarships. The exact requirements depend on the university and scholarship.
If you want to study in Uzbek or Russian, you have plenty of local options.
But if you want an international environment and English-taught education, I'd look at places like WIUT and NEWUU.
For example, at NEWUU, if you have 780+ SAT Math, you can use the SAT route instead of taking the math entrance exam. After that, you still need to meet the English requirement and pass the interview. A 100% scholarship is possible depending on the scholarship category and result.
So don't think:
"I got my SAT score. Now what?"
Think:
"Where can this score actually help me?"
Maybe it's the US.
Maybe it's a full scholarship here.
Maybe it's both.
π SAT is just a tool. The important part is knowing how to use it.
