Catholic sacramental theology in a very unique way makes it not only canonically impossible but logically incoherent to allow for genuine divorce and remarriage

even if we wanted to allow it out of mercy, the sacramental bond is as unbreakable as “4” is from “2+2”. It simply cannot be done

if we were to reduce the fundamental error of the orthos to simplest terms I think it would be their inability to articulate when and how and under what conditions the Church on Earth can exercise the apostolic charism of infallibility, essential to Her divine mission

I’ll probably expand more on this in a future stream or video

while I recognize they’re fundamentally different in many key ways, I view baptists and other non-sacramental/non-sacerdotal denominations of Christianity in a manner not too dissimilar from how I view Mormons or even Muslims

Intelligent Design apologetics makes God both anthropomorphic and mechanistic and is therefore incompatible with Catholic, medieval Cosmology

Catholicism is one of the most falsifiable religions on the planet. All you have to do is prove, for example, that two ex cathedra teachings contradict each other and the entire house of cards would collapse.

That this has simultaneously come close to happening a few times and yet still has not actually been done after 2,000 years may not be proof of the Church’s claims but it is remarkable

it is simply not possible to pray the psalms daily without believing that it is necessary to cooperate with grace by continuously observing the commandments of God in order to be justified and saved

it’s one of the most common spiritual themes throughout the entire Psalter

it wouldn’t bother me if trump posted the documents onto truth social I’d still back him 100%

calling liberalism a religion gives too much credit to liberalism and doesn’t give enough credit to religion

Even though I believe the Incarnation would have happened without the Fall, I would maintain that the redemptive Incarnation offers us a far deeper degree of divine intimacy than a non-redemptive incarnation

This is because what the redemptive Incarnation does is empty the fullness of Divine Love into a human nature in a way that is made most excellent exclusively by way of the Cross, as charity is only perfected most gloriously through sacrifice (eg, “greater love hath no man”)

The Cross is therefore *the* means whereby the fullness of Divine Love and glory actually reach their termini in the human nature of Jesus Christ, in Whom we can mystically abide through His Church

O felix culpa, indeed

honestly if your opposition toward Judaism isn’t rooted in a religious framework it can more easily just come off as having an irrational gripe

without seeing it as a cosmically significantly adversary to the God’s Church on Earth, you could obviously oppose Israel on boring foreign policy grounds, but it would be like any other foreign adversary and there wouldn’t be a rational reason to oppose Judaism as such
