extremely brief argument for Christianity:
if God is infinite, and if God loves His Creation, then He loves His Creation with an infinite love, and would want to bring about the closest possible union between Himself and His Creation.
Now humanity is unique in that it sums up the whole of Creation by sharing being with both realms of spirit and matter. Therefore, given the infinite Love of God, it stands to reason that God would want to unite Himself with our nature in particular so as to bring about this union, and in so doing, enable us as sharers of that nature to partake of this perfect union of Divinity and Creation. He accomplishes this in the Person of Jesus Christ and our Eucharistic participation in His Mystical Body, the Church.

the more one reads the psalms the clearer it becomes that loving God and loving His commandments are inseparable acts
in order to fully love God, it is not enough to externally abide by His commandments, but we must from within the depths of our own interior life truly and authentically love virtue and detest sin as God loves virtue and detests sin

please say a prayer for the repose of the soul of my wife’s aunt who unfortunately was not a Catholic (and for her family)

“Like the light of the Sun, which permeates the atmosphere, spreading over land and sea, and yet is enjoyed by each person as though it were for him alone, so the Holy Spirit pours forth His grace in full measure, sufficient for all, and yet is present as though exclusive to each one who receives Him.“ - St. Basil the Great, On the Holy Spirit

It is by virtue of the perfect infinity of God that the threefold distinct relations by which He knows and loves Himself are not broken up into fragments that merely participate in God, but in themselves perfectly and equally bear the full character of the Divine Identity itself, which is why they are worshipped as distinct Persons of the Godhead

legitimately one of the most beautifully articulated monologues on the the uniqueness of Christianity’s approach to Divine Love that I’ve heard in a very long time

if Catholicism is just another denomination of Christianity why does every other Christian denomination define their distinctive identity in opposition to this or that element of Catholicism?

The Father and the Son so infinitely and completely love each other that the Love they give and receive is not merely a participation in Divinity, but is itself the fullness of Divine self-expression eternally given and received by each other, and is therefore no less a Divine Person than they are

I will (finally) be launching a series on cozy.tv starting May 31st where I’ll be going through the fundamental teachings of the Catholic Faith For each teaching, I’ll offer deeper explanation, philosophical justification, spiritual implications, and answering…
The first of these will actually have to take place Saturday, June 3rd (around 7:30 PM EST) and will discuss how we can prove the existence of God, but in a way that is straightforward and easy to articulate but also cuts to the core of what makes the First Cause truly Divine (which most modern arguments for God fail to account for)

This is nuts— AJ says the ADL is helping the globalists scapegoat the Jews. What??? Mental gymnastics.

“Man is ‘more especially’ the image of God, as minor mundus. It is his privilege to mirror the integrality of Creation, and hence of the divine Ideas that generated it. Only through man’s free co-operation can the total divine plan be effectuated, so that all other things are somehow saved in his restoration. Equal to the angel in the nobility of his spiritual destiny, yet on a level with the vilest of creatures through his body, man’s being, taken all in all, is without exception the most wonderful and worthy that exists.
His God-given dominion over all Creation can be extended to include even the angels, since they are ordered to his service and ‘he who sits at table is greater than him who ministers’.
The seal was set upon man’s uniquely privileged nature by the Incarnation, through which the Word redemptively assumed the entire universe as represented by human nature.” - James McEvoy, PhD, The Philosophy of Robert Grosseteste

"God never commands the impossible. But He warns us to do what we can, and to ask of Him the grace to accomplish what we of ourselves cannot do, and He aids us to fulfill what He commands.” -St. Augustine
