โ€œThe Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.โ€ 2 Peter 9

Loving your enemies may not be a Rabbinical Jewish commandment but it is a Christian one.

โ€œLet your door stand open to receive God,
unlock your soul to God,
offer Him a welcome in your mind,
and then you will see
the riches of simplicity,
the treasures of peace,
the joy of grace.
Throw wide the gate of your heart,
stand before the Sun of the everlasting Light.โ€
- St. Ambrose of Milan

Just as the Ark of the Covenant was arrayed in earthly splendor to befit the presence of God, so the Blessed Virgin, from the moment of Her conception, was arrayed in the spiritual splendor of sanctifying grace to befit the Incarnation of God in Her very womb

if you cannot meaningfully distinguish the veneration we give to Mary and the Saints from the worship due to God alone, that says more about how much you put into the worship of God than how much we put into the veneration of Saints

a Jesus Who identifies Himself with His saints (Acts 9:4) is not a Jesus Who would want us to worship Him without their company

broadly speaking, thereโ€™s a profoundly significant aesthetic difference between Protestant and Catholic depictions of Jesus and itโ€™s honestly self-evident which ones come from a richer and more intense spirituality

most people are intuitively aware of how irredeemably flawed the โ€œfoundations of our cultureโ€ are, so Iโ€™m not sure how Ari tacitly admitting how interwoven it is with Judaism is going to help his case

Catholicism is the only Christian denomination which takes the nuptial analogy of Christ and the Church found in Ephesians 5 seriously by actually recognizing that the Church Herself is imbued with unique and clearly articulated bridal and maternal duties that can be distinguished from the role of Her Divine Bridegroom

Itโ€™s the *Church* which gives birth to the spiritual Life of Her members and continuously nurtures it by the power of Her sacraments

Itโ€™s obviously Christโ€™s grace alone to give by the sole virtue of His redemptive merits, but it comes to us through the maternal presence of His Bride, our mystical Mother, the Church, which, as St. Paul says, is the โ€œfullness of Christ, Who fills all in allโ€ (Eph 1:23)

most of the strongest Scriptural supports for Catholic theology come directly from the mouth of Christ

examples:
-apostolic succession [Matt 28:19-20]

-ecclesiastical authority [Lk 10:16; John 20:21; Matt 28:18-20; Matt 18:18]

-papal primacy [Matt 16:18-20; Lk 22:32; John 21:15]

-baptism [John 3:5; Matt 28:19]

-the real presence [John 6; Luke 22.19]

-confession [John 20:23]

-Maryโ€™s spiritual motherhood [John 19:27-28]

-against โ€œFaith aloneโ€ [John 15:14]

Etc

the 280 character limit is part of why Twitter works so well because it forces you to be pithy

the best tweets are often the shortest

Christ does not say โ€œyou are my friends if you believe in your heartโ€, He says โ€œyou are My friends if you keep My commandsโ€ (Jn 15:14)

This means that in order to become friends of God, or partakers of the Divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), we must cooperate with the grace He gives us to live out the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity He infuses into our souls, so that we might live in accordance with the Law He has written on our hearts for the sake of our own sanctification and glorification
