I obviously disagree with the redpill influencers but I do part ways with some of the tradcons in that I honestly wouldn’t mind their pessimism about marriage and family life so much if they also condemned fornication and adultery. If you’re going to “opt out” of marriage, then you must also opt out of ANY use of the sexual faculty whatsoever.

No sexual thoughts, no sexual relationships, no impure conversation, no porn, no nothing. Your only option is celibacy, consecrated virginity, or religious life. You are effectively a eunuch.

If you’re unwilling to make this sacrifice, then marriage is your only option, and you’re going to have to deal with the challenges and complications that come with married life which is always possible with the help of grace. But you will have to put to death at least some of your own personal autonomy and live selflessly for the sake of the other according to the objective duties and roles of marriage taught in Scripture and by the Church (eg, Arcanum divinae and Casti connubii).

There is no third option. This is the teaching of Jesus Christ we’re talking about, and if we cannot come to terms with this arrangement, do not be surprised to hear the words “I never knew you” proceeding from the mouth of Jesus when you die.
To provide more context for my last post, here’s a beautiful description of what those marital duties and obligations consist in per the authoritative teaching of the Church:

Pope Leo XIII, Arcanum Divinæ

It just so happens that American “Movement Conservatism” is apparently now pro-feminist, pro-gay, tolerant of transexuals, racially diverse, and virtually secular or agnostic, which would make it more liberal than it has ever been.

American “conservatives” ARE liberals. They are of the same species as the Left and gradually this is becoming more apparent when you see how they react to Groypers challenging fundamental liberal assumptions about democracy, the role of women, or the temporal authority of the Church.
I’ll be reacting to this ridiculous Ortho video against St. Thomas Aquinas live on cozy.tv/classicaltheist this Thursday at 8:30 PM EST
because certain BAP orbiters are fond of posting a screen-cap of my pro-Kanye tweet from over a year ago, let me just double down on that

I still do believe God used him as a vessel to help facilitate a very needed conversation about Judaism in the public square, but the moment he turned his back on God, lo’ and behold he became the very evil he preached against and God will still use the fruits of his past labors against his own current demonic interests

let this be a lesson to all of us. no one is indispensable to God. He can and does use people for His providential ends, and if they cooperate with His graces, they get to hold onto the privilege of working in His vineyard, and Divine Life will abide in them. but if they turn to wickedness, God will cast them out of His vineyard into the outer darkness where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth

pray for kanye!
Christianity uniquely provides a grounded justification for the objective significance of human morality, and this is thanks chiefly to the doctrine of the Incarnation itself

because of the Incarnation, the moral significance of every human act is not restricted in scope even to the realm of human affairs, but resounds throughout the entire created order

this is because, as Pope St. John Paul II taught in Redemptor hominis, Christ, through His Incarnation, has not only united Himself to our humanity, but has in some way united Himself to every human person

thus, every human act takes on a cosmic significance by virtue of its teleological relationship to the end-point and crown of all Creation, which is none other than the Incarnate Word Himself, Jesus Christ

outside of a Christian vision of the world therefore it is very difficult to articulate or justify the grave moral significance of each and every human act, especially in the area of personal temperance
Today at 4 PM EST I’ll be going live on YouTube doing a stream with patrons where we will be discussing St. Thomas Aquinas’ Commentary on the Psalms!

You can sub to the channel here: YouTube.com/classicaltheist

And if you want to join in the discussion for these streams, consider becoming a patron, first novitiate tier and up.

“And it is worthy of remark, that the Jews blaspheme and mock the name of Christ, which was delivered to them by the authority of Scripture; whereas the [Roman] soldiers, as being ignorant of the Scriptures, insult not Christ the chosen of God, but the King of the Jews” - St. Bede the Venerable

Reflection by Pope St. Leo the Great on the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ

In it he describes the greater closeness He can have with us as members of His Body than what was even shared with those who saw Him in the flesh during His earthly ministry
Speckzo needs all of our prayers rn. Please say a rosary for him if you can
