The Cambodian Journal of Educational Research (CJER) is a peer-reviewed academic journal initiated, managed, and published by the Cambodian Education Forum (CEF).

Dear everyone,

The Cambodian Education Forum (CEF) turned 5 years old yesterday. We would like to share one of our achievements.

We established the Cambodian Journal of Educational Research (CJER) in 2021. The journal is now almost 5 years old. We have published 5 Volumes (containing nine issues and a total of 75 documents). The next issue of CJER will be published in December 2025.

Review Guidelines for a Review Article

We have managed our journal (Cambodian Journal of Educational Research) for five year now. We've never provided guidelines for reviewers. This is the standard practice for most journals published by mainstream publishers, as reviewers are expected to know how to review manuscripts.

Now we decided that we should give some guidelines to help reviewers assess the quality of the manuscript, as most of our reviewers are new to research and publication.

This guideline is helpful for both reviewers and authors. As authors, we should write in a way that meets the requirements in this guideline.

There are two main types of PhD theses.

1. Monograph thesis (traditional thesis)
It has a conventional structure:

Introduction
Literature Review
Methodology
Results
Discussion
Conclusion

2. Thesis by publication (article-based thesis)
It doesn't have a conventional structure. Usually it has the following structure:

Introduciton
3-4 (published or publishable) articles as chapters
Conclusion
