Absolute Nuisance! Circulation returns with a legally-illegal overnight rave in an unusual multi-floor space near the British Museum.

For one night we’re building our own little playground:

📍 Secret location near British Museum. Exact address released 2 hours before the event.
Technically it is a construction site but the space is dry, warm and safe and nice looking 😉

A mix I’ve been slowly building for quite a while, carefully collecting tracks, mixing, changing things and finding inspiration along the way. It became a little soundtrack to where my head and mood are right now, so I really wanted to share it with friends.

Chilled, romantic and uplifting. Somewhere between Future Garage, UK Garage, Ambient Bass, Electronica, Breaks and atmospheric Dubstep. Made for early mornings, sunrise, travelling, dreaming or simply creating the right mood.

And something like that I am going to play in the chill room this Saturday (or maybe not, will see :)))

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: the space 🏗️

A little preview of where we’re going to disappear this Saturday. It’s a beautiful, slightly weird building full of rooms, corners and possibilities.

We’re building 3 main spaces:
🔊 Main dancefloor
🌀 Chill room with its own music
🫖 Tea room with a decorated cosy interior, tea and space to sit, chat and slow down

Plus loads of other little rooms for chats, art, hiding, socialising and whatever naturally happens :)

We need some community magic. If you have fairy lights, lamps, LEDs, decorations, fabrics, art or anything interesting you can bring from home, please do. We can hang and fix things to the walls, just check with me first.

We also need some hands during Saturday for the build and decoration, and afterwards for strike on Sunday when we all rest and return. Message me if you can help.

The build is still ON. We’re decorating, wiring, testing and creating. The sound system is alive, tuned and sounds absolutely MASSIVE. 🔊🔥

A few important things before you arrive:

🔔 The doorbell doesn’t work. Knock, message the group or contact someone you know inside.

🚪 Keep the entrance quiet. Come straight inside and please don’t gather or smoke outside the entrance.

🚭 NO SMOKING inside. Vapes are OK. For smoking, use our small outdoor courtyard downstairs, accessible by stairs/lift. Please use this rather than the main entrance.

🚧 Respect the space. If an area is taped or blocked off, don’t enter. Explore the building, but look after our temporary home.

🗑️ Bin bags are around the building. Please use them and leave toilets and rooms clean.

🧥 Coat hangers are available near the entrance, but all belongings are left at your own responsibility.

💛 Please support us with a donation at the entrance. Everything goes towards making this madness possible.

CIRCULATION UNDER CONSTRUCTION 🏗️🖤

A few days later and the glow is still very much there. Videos are circulating, mixes are being uploaded, memories are slowly coming back 😅 and the crew is still talking about what the hell we managed to create.

This started as a tiny idea: let’s have a small Saturday night party and test Dima’s new speakers.

And then this happened 🙂

The energy, engagement and support from everyone turned it into something absolutely unique for us, for Circulation, and hopefully for everyone who walked through that slightly suspicious door and became part of our family for the night.

So, some very important thank-yous. I’ll probably forget someone because there were SO many people involved, but please know how grateful we are to every single one of you.

First and foremost, Dima. Massive respect and hats off for the dedication, time and madness that went into building that sound system. And to everyone who supported him along the way. The result was absolutely second to none. The sound was HUGE. Beautiful, powerful, clean and seriously impressive. I cannot wait to hear more music on it, and I’m sure every DJ who gets behind it will feel the same.

Alisiya, thank you for trusting us with this incredible space. The building itself became such a huge part of the experience. The fun we had imagining what we could do there and then actually bringing it to life made this one very special. Maybe it was a one-off, but definitely an unforgettable one.

Huge love to everyone who helped transform an empty building into our little universe.

Anton, thank you for creating the Chill Room. Nastya, Lucy and Nika, thank you for leading and helping with decorations, and everyone from the community who brought lights, objects, fabrics and random beautiful things.

Kirill and Margo, thank you for the beautiful paintings that took over our walls. And yes, if anyone fell in love with one of them and wants one for themselves, let us know 🙂

A very special thank you to Henrijs/, Lesha and Sofya for creating the Tea Room. Somehow, in the middle of all that bass and madness, you created this little peaceful universe with tea, decorations, the cat and a completely different energy.

Fabao, thank you for bringing the live VJ experience, projections, lasers and visuals to life.

To every DJ who played on The Main and the Chill floor: thank you. Both rooms had their own journey and both were alive all night. I spent the whole party running between them wishing I could somehow listen to both at once. I genuinely loved every set I managed to catch.

Igor, massive, massive thank you for the van and for driving back and forth with an absolutely ridiculous amount of stuff. None of this magically teleports itself into the venue, unfortunately, and your help was invaluable.

And to the STRIKE TEAM: you are absolute fucking heroes. ❤️
I looked at that building afterwards and thought we would be there forever. Then a few pairs of extremely powerful and slightly exhausted hands appeared and somehow everything disappeared incredibly quickly. Coming back for strike after a night like that deserves a special level of respect.

Thank you also to everyone who supported me personally through the stressful moments before, during and after this whole beautiful madness. It meant a lot.

And finally, our thoughts and hearts are with everyone who couldn’t join us this time. It happened with ridiculous short notice, and for obvious reasons some of our Circulation family simply couldn’t be there. You were not forgotten. You are part of this community whether you were physically inside that building or not. We missed you, and you were with us in spirit. ❤️

What was supposed to be a speaker test became something much, much bigger.

Thank you to everyone who built, carried, drove, decorated, played, projected, streamed, photographed, danced, drank tea, cleaned, donated, hugged, helped and simply showed up.
