Hey 👋 there, thanks for subscribing to my channel, that helps me a lot!

Hi, I'm a 2nd-year CS student at AAU.
I created this channel to share my journey: my achievements, failures, experiences, and many other things while staying responsible and consistent along the way.

Welcome!

My name is Natnael, but you can call me Natty.

I’m passionate about cybersecurity and AI. I discovered this interest after joining CS and exploring different career paths and the tech industry. I realized that cybersecurity is a strong and important field, especially for those who are interested in protecting systems and building secure software. Personally, I’m more interested in the engineering side — I enjoy building things.

Right now, I’m developing my skills in programming (Python), networking, Linux, and security fundamentals through self-learning and hands-on projects. Some of the projects I’m working on include a log analyzer and a port scanner.

Hi everyone 👋,

I have just finished building a port scanner today to solidify my understanding of concepts like:
- TCP socket programming 🛠
- Concurrent scanning using ThreadPoolExecutor ⚡️
- Banner grabbing 🏴
- HTTP probing 🌐
- Timeout and error handling ⚠️
- Service identification 🔍
- CLI design with argparse 💻
- JSON report generation 📄
- Input validation and scan summaries

Feel free to check it out. I really appreciate your comments, ideas, and feedback. Welcome! 🎉

Hey guys, how is your day going? I hope it is amazing.

I'm working on the documentation. I think I have pushed two md files: one is about the architecture of the scanner, and the other is about socket programming. I'll try to finish all the documentation by tomorrow; I think there are 3 left.

And I'm thinking about telling you a little bit about myself, starting with my name. Do you want to hear about my name (how I was given this name)? React with a 👍; if the reaction is greater than 50%, I'll tell you. I'll share more depending on your response.
