GET BACK HOME AND MAKE MY PEOPLE RICH!
For close to 2000 years, Christianity has been associated with the centre of civilization as development has always played host to the growth of Christianity. Try as Nero did to extinguish Christianity,, he failed as Constantine later not only made Christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire but went on to build Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.
The centre of civilization remained in Rome for centuries and the St Peters Basilica Project commenced about 1000 years after Hagia Sophia. From the 16th Century, papal bulls by Nicholas V (who had first thought of major renovations or rebuilding the Basilica) empowered and encouraged the trans Atlantic slave trade with Africans as victims for almost 400 years up till the 19th century and ended shortly before the end also of the trans Sahara slave trade which started even earlier and lasted 1,400 years.
America soon became the centre of Western civilization and Christianity with the migration of many from Europe and by 1864, it's national motto became-In God We Trust.
On the other hand, as slavery was abolished in Africa, it was replaced with European colonialism which disrupted traditional African economies, leading to resource extraction, forced labor, and the imposition of systems that favored colonial powers.
After gaining independence, many African nations struggled with economic instability, political turmoil, mismanagement, corruption and debt burdens. Many African nations faced economic stagnation or decline, particularly during the period from 1974 through the mid-1990s.
It was in this historical setting that a young man, 32 year old David Olaniyi Oyedepo visited the USA on a mission trip and while at the sprawling 500 acre Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma seeing the level of development including the Oral Robert Ministry owned 60, 30 and 20 floor towers among others, heard the words from scripture '
'God is no respecter of persons:..But in every nation he that feareth him and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him'.. ' and he concluded... 'It (development) can happen anywhere. On that same trip, precisely on the 26th August 1987, he received a divine instruction, “Get back home and make my people rich”.
The instruction came in time. Many nations still struggle with poverty and underdevelopment, with Sub-Saharan Africa dominating lists of the world's poorest nations and Africa often touted as the poverty capital of the world.
Today, in the midst of a ravaging economy, Africa is witnessing young ministries emerging, giving direction to many and also setting up places of worship in various megastructures. Africa is gradually becoming the center of Christianity as the largest churches in the world are now in Africa from the Orthodox to the Pentecostals.
Is this a prophetic sign that it is time for Africa to become the centre of civilization?
Are all the ongoing infrastructural projects a sign of things to come.
It's only 4 days from now.

PASTOR IBIYEOMIE ADDRESSES THE ISSUE OF GUYS PUTTING ON EARRINGS AND DREADLOCKS.
Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries, while delivering a sermon during the 4th Service on Sunday, addressed the issue of guys who put on earrings and dreadlocks all in the name of fashion.
He explained from the Bible, the origin of men putting on earrings. He stated that when a slave was released in Israel in the 7th year, holes are bored in their ears and a ring is worn on them; that's the sign that the man is no longer a slave. A man wearing earrings is simply saying, “I am an ex slave.”
He further asked the congregation, “have you seen any President in the World who wears earrings as a man?” As free as America, no American Presidents wear earrings - he stated.
He also asked the congregation, “have you seen a President wear dreadlocks?” He further explained that among the first 20 billionaires in the World, nobody has dreadlocks. He also stated that no Senator in the United States has dreadlocks.
He concluded by saying, keeping dreadlocks is like putting a mark of limitation on oneself. It is indirectly saying, “you can never be great.”

IF YOU SAG YOUR TROUSERS AS A YOUNG BOY, YOU ARE PLAYING AWAY YOUR DESTINY.
WHEN I TURNED 70, MY CHILDREN PURCHASED CARS FOR ME.
-Bishop David Oyedepo
During the Wrap up Session of the Third Service at Encounter With Destiny Service, Bishop David Oyedepo rebuked young boys who sag their trousers and encouraged them to be of responsible behaviour.
He said: “I sowed a seed to my grandmother with whom I grew. She said: “You did this for me?” I said: “Yes Mum.” “You will be great!” I was 20 years old. Today's boys, you put your trousers below your buttock; you are playing away your destiny. When I turned 70, my own children bought me new cars. Don't keep your children in a cupboard. No eagles emerge in the nest, eagles emerge in the skies. My son was sharing that he was a janitor. Church Gist. I did labour work as a year 3 student in secondary school. I earned my first wages then. I've been working like this since the Ministry began and the Work is being blessed. Please wake up! Wake up!! The Lord told me: “Do something.” I did. He said: “My son, if you don't want to be rich, it's too late.” 1987. He told me privately, I did it privately and He swore on me privately and you know my own case, I announced it publicly. There is nothing to read in my biography, I've been telling the story since the beginning. So it's not… and it's the same not that it's edited. It's the same, truth does not change. Somebody's story is changing!”
