Jesus Loves The Poor Deeply
Jesus left His glory above and became human for us. He became poor for us. He does not need you to be rich before you are attractive or acceptable to Him. Any view that makes Him seem more attracted to the rich is a sacrilege! That will be an abuse of the true purpose of the One who came to seek and save the lost (Lu19:10). Jesus made it very clear that a person’s life does not consist in the abundance of what they have .
‘Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” ‘ (Luke 12:15 NIV).
One day Jesus watched the crowd giving their offerings . The rich gave large amounts but a poor widow gave just two copper coins. Jesus praised the offering of the poor widow above the rich people . He said the little the widow gave was the greatest in God’s sight as she gave all she had to live on but the rich gave out of their luxury. (Mark 12:41-44). How God rates things is completely different from how human beings rate them. A correct knowledge of God forbids us from despising poor people and poor preachers.
My concern is the unfortunate tilt towards materialism habitually taking place on the altar of God. Although this has been there for a while, it does not make it right. We must purge ourselves of views that are not sound doctrine no matter how long we have held them and preached them unchallenged. There is a new move of God in this apostolic age that will trash the rubbish.
Blind Bartimaeus was a poor beggar in rags. He cried out to Jesus and people tried to silence him. This was apparently because of his lowly situation. Jesus stopped for him. The entire crowd halted as Jesus treated this blind beggar like a VIP. He asked him what he wanted and granted his request gloriously (Mark 10:46-52).
Jesus Himself was born in a smelly manger . The Father allowed His own Son to be born in one of the least places in the country. God could influence Jesus to be born in the best place around . But the wise God by His predetermined counsel did not do so. Mary the mother of Jesus was a woman from a humble background and married just a carpenter. Yet God chose her for the highest assignment any woman had done.
Jesus was highly accessible to everyone during His ministry on earth regardless of their financial status. Read your bible more thoroughly, the poor came to Him from time to time to heal them , deliver them or attend to their loved ones. And He with compassion granted their requests . Poor leppers had access to Him. Jesus preached both in towns and villages .
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.” (Matthew 9:35 NIV)
Peter was an uneducated struggling fisherman and Jesus made him a mighty apostle .
Did you know that Apostle Paul as great as he was, suffered lack from time to time and was not a rich man? He said he was poor yet making many rich (2Corinthians 6:10). So let nobody deceive you about the fact that he was not rich.
My concern is not about a one - off slip . It is rather about the dominance of money talks that desecrates the scriptures , the poor and raises people and preachers who are more eager to pursue Mammon than God! We must watch against Mammonism under any guise it has been presenting itself . It is time to raise proper disciples for Jesus.
“Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness—“ (Titus 1:1 NIV).
Furthering the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness should be the primary duty of leaders of the flock of God. Let us teach the fear of God loudly and preach holiness directly so as to raise those who practise godliness . This seems lacking on many altars. Yet this is one of the core marks of an apostle of Jesus.

*Rev. Biodun & Pastor Modele Fatoyinbo Set To Dedicate New COZA Ilorin Auditorium*
It was a powerful homecoming as Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo and Pastor Modele Fatoyinbo returned to Ilorin, Kwara State; the birthplace of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) for the dedication of the ministry’s brand-new auditorium.
The atmosphere was electric with celebration, gratitude, and awe at what God has done. From its humble beginnings in Ilorin, COZA has grown into a global ministry, and this latest development is a testament to the faithfulness of God and the consistency of vision.
For Rev. Fatoyinbo and the COZA Family, nothing is impossible with our God. In this lineage of grace, we do great things—not by our strength, but by His help.

MY MOTTO IS 'GOD IS ALWAYS RIGHT'
- Bishop David Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo while exhorting the congregation about peace being a proof of genuine salvation spoke about the peace He has enjoyed since giving his life to Christ. He said "God has never done me any wrong. My Motto is 'God is always right'. Let all men be liars, God is always right. Church Gist. My confidence Is that what He does not give me, He considers it hurtful for me. Peace with God! I have been in the midst of death and I had peace like a river. You hear me speak "Peace be still".

THERE IS NO PLACE WHERE A CHURCH PROJECT, THE SIZE OF THE ARK IS TAKING PLACE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. - Bishop David Oyedepo
While ministering on the Second Night of the Easter Faith Convention 2025, Bishop David Oyedepo stated that there is no place where a Church Project that is the size of the Ark is taking place anywhere in the World. This was possible because of the word that was spoken many years ago.
He further stated that Covenant University is 99.99 per cent indigenous. "The seeds you sow today are seeds bringing harvest to your tomorrow" - he stated. He concluded by cautioning members to be careful on the utterances they make.
