Congratulations to my friend @AlboMP and all of the @AustralianLabor Party.

And thank you Australia for voting to keep building Australia's future.
Statement from the NSW Premier.
Australia will be inviting Pope Leo to Sydney in 2028 for the International Eucharistic Congress, and New South Wales would be honoured to host Pope Leo XIV.
We congratulate Pope Leo XIV on his election and give him our best wishes as a leader in our turbulent world.

We welcome His Holiness’ messages of peace, bridge building, and compassion.
That’s why we’re also future-proofing the hospital by building expansion zones, to ensure that the facility is able to meet the needs of a growing local community now and into the future.

It just makes sense.
When you're in the final stages of planning for a baby, it brings a lot of peace of mind knowing there's world-class birthing and maternity services right around the corner.

So we’re helping expectant mums in Sydney’s NW birth their babies closer to home at the new Rouse Hill 🏥
Let's bring it home @nswbluesw
THE SHIELD IS COMING HOME 🩵

Incredible work @nswbluesw!!

Let's make it a trifecta!
We're expecting heavy rain, strong winds, and dangerous surf along the northern NSW coast from today, and our @NSWSES and emergency service teams are preparing accordingly.
If you need support from the SES, don't hesitate to call them om 132 500. In the event of an emergency, always dial 000.

And finally, don't drive through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
Overnight we've seen the weather intensify from Sydney’s north through to the Central and Mid North Coastal regions.

Since 9PM last night there have been 356 requests for help from the @NSWSES, including 7 successful flood rescues.
I want to take this chance to thank every single one of our @NSWSES personnel and remind the NSW public not to go near floodwaters. Do not drive through them and certainly do not attempt to go for a swim.
If you haven't already, make sure you've downloaded the Hazards Near Me app to stay up to date during floods and storms.

If you need support from the SES, don't hesitate to call them on 132 500. In the event of an emergency, always dial 000.
