Thousands of Airbus A320 aircraft are being recalled for urgent repairs — it has been discovered that strong solar radiation can distort critically important data in flight control systems.

This vulnerability has been identified in approximately 6,000 aircraft — almost half of the entire global Airbus fleet. While they await software updates, flights remain potentially dangerous. Aviation regulators are already warning of delays, cancellations, and increased scrutiny of all flights.

American Airlines, Delta, Air India, Wizz Air, and Air New Zealand have already been notified about potential flight disruptions. Aviation authorities emphasize that planes will not be allowed to operate without the necessary updates, so while the fleet undergoes maintenance, delays, cancellations, and stringent security checks may occur.

A message to those afraid of flying.

We found a simple and reliable way to determine if the image in front of you is generated—since the release of Nano Banana Pro, the internet has been flooded with realistic photos of non-existent people.

It's easy: just upload the photo to Gemini with the prompt:

 is this real image?

Google has a special labeling and recognition system for AI-generated content called SynthID. It works almost flawlessly—even if the feature doesn't find 100% proof of fakeness, it will point out artifacts in the image.

Let's make use of it!

Russia has banned the import of right-hand drive and hybrid cars, reports Mash.

The reason for the ban is that the left headlight is brighter than the right one (which is prohibited). According to the publication, Rosaccreditation has changed the existing rules for issuing documents for SBKTS and EPTS. Attempts to contest this decision in court were unsuccessful, as the court confirmed its legality. As a result, right-hand drive vehicles can no longer obtain safety certificates.

Additionally, the court ruled that emissions assessments must be conducted, which inadvertently affects hybrids. Previously, cars were imported based on their passport data, but now each model must be tested individually in a laboratory.

The most ironic part is that the procedure for measuring emissions is practically unfeasible for hybrid vehicles. And since the tests cannot be conducted, no permits will be issued.

It turns out that chimpanzees consume more alcohol than humans—scientists have discovered that these charming primates drink an average of two shots a day.

The researchers conducted a straightforward study by going to Uganda to observe the chimps' diet. They identified 21 types of fruits, each containing an average alcohol content of 0.26%. The chimpanzees consume about 4.5 kilograms of these fruits daily, and they weigh about half as much as humans.

Because the alcohol enters their system gradually, chimpanzees do not get drunk, but they generally enjoy life. To validate their theory, the scientists decided to collect urine samples from the monkeys, which involved standing under trees with umbrellas while the animals slept above. Science demands sacrifices.

Interestingly, this finding indirectly supports the "drunken monkey" hypothesis—that humans' love for alcohol may have evolved from a common ancestor with chimpanzees.
