We pray for our brothers and sisters in Nepal and Tibet who have been affected by the recent devastating floods. 🙏
May the Lord grant comfort to those who have lost loved ones and homes, strength to those facing hardship, and wisdom and courage to all those working to bring relief. Let us continue to keep the affected communities in our prayers, trusting in God’s love and mercy.
CHARIS is responding in support of Caritas Nepal, providing immediate relief and supporting affected communities in their recovery.

Thank you for making hope happen!
Our Nepal Flood Emergency Relief campaign reached its target in just a few weeks.
Your support is already delivering vital aid on two key fronts:
We have disbursed SGD196,000 to Caritas Nepal to distribute emergency food supplies and essential relief items to displaced families and communities.
We contributed SGD 50,000 in emergency aid to Humanity Matters to house children orphaned by the flash floods in Nepal.
While immediate aid is underway, rebuilding homes and livelihoods will take time. We invite you to keep these families in your prayers as they journey toward recovery.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and trust.

Today, we celebrate the feast of Patroness of the Missions, she taught us that true transformation doesn’t require immense wealth, but small acts done with extraordinary love.
This same truth guides CHARIS and our Member Organisations on the ground: when our humble, small gifts come together, they bring life-changing hope to vulnerable communities across the region.
Inspired by St. Thérèse, create lasting hope through a small monthly gift. You can start your journey of giving here: bit.ly/charis-haf

What does it mean to be a young missionary? Do we have to travel to distant lands to be one?
As the Church celebrates 100 years of World Mission Sunday, join us as we reflect on how we can be young missionary disciples as one in Christ, united in mission.
Following a keynote speech by Cardinal "Ambo", Vice-President of The Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences, we will be accompanied by Catholics from Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines and Malaysia. They will share how they live out the Gospel and find guidance from Catholic Social Teaching in their work as they respond to the call to mission.

In remote communities in India, chronic food insecurity and hardship threaten the well-being and dignity of thousands of families every day.
Our faith calls us, through the Corporal Works of Mercy, to feed the hungry and care for those in need. Through your generosity, even a modest offering can become a lifeline. Together, your contributions have provided 10,300 families in underserved communities with essential food staples and vital medical care—restoring their strength and affirming the dignity as beloved children of God.
This Humanitarian Month, let us put our faith into action. Remember: Even the simplest gift creates a miraculous impact.

In his message for World Mission Day, Pope Leo XIV reminds us that "mission is born of love, lived in love, and leads to love... Every gift, no matter how small, becomes a meaningful act."
At CHARIS, that love starts with a simple truth: no family should have to worry about their child’s safety while they play, learn, and grow.
When you give, your love bears tangible fruit—granting vulnerable children room to flourish and offering parents hope for the future.
This Humanitarian Month, let us put our faith into action. Remember: Even the simplest gift creates a miraculous impact.

The disaster in Southern Philippines left families carrying heavy burdens of trauma, loss, and uncertainty. In the midst of distress, healing often begins not with grand gestures, but with compassionate presence.
Through your support, seminarians and volunteers were equipped to offer Psychological First Aid, comfort, and a listening ear. What began as small acts of service brought lasting peace, restored hope, and reminded vulnerable communities that God has not abandoned them, and He reaches them through the care of others.

The 2026 Nepal-China floods are a heartbreaking reminder of the sheer destructive scale of global ecological collapse. As thousands mourn the loss of lives, homes, and livelihoods, we are confronted with the reality that the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor are interconnected.
As people of faith, we cannot let their suffering become background noise. We are called to pause, and resist what Pope Francis calls the “globalisation of indifference”, and step into solidarity with our brothers and sisters.
Creation is a gift entrusted to our care, and love demands our response. As stewards of God's earth, how is God calling you to respond today?

For displaced children from Myanmar, safe classrooms and caring mentors from Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS)—a CHARIS Member Organisation—open doors to heal, learn, and rediscover their potential.
As Pope Leo XIV reminds us in his World Mission Day message, “No baptised person is exempt from or indifferent to mission: everyone, each according to their own vocation... participates in the great work that Christ has entrusted to his Church.”
As Humanitarian Month comes to a close, thank you for every prayer offered and every gift shared. Let us continue to live out our baptismal call to love and serve our neighbour, allowing our Small Gifts to make a Miraculous Impact.

Today, we celebrate All Saints’ Day with a beautiful reminder from our member organisation, Fishing Rod Society in KL. ❤️
Sometimes, the greatest impact comes from the smallest gifts. A little kindness, love or faith can make a meaningful difference. As the saints showed us, ordinary acts done with extraordinary love can bring hope and inspire others.
Children from the refugee community celebrated by attending Mass dressed as different saints, bringing colour and joy to the occasion.
May these little saints inspire us to spread love and kindness in our everyday lives.
