این بلوک سنگی حدود ۶۰۰ تُن وزن دارد و ممکن است سرنخ‌هایی از یک «مکانیزم باستانی ناشناخته» را ارائه دهد.
در یک طرف آن، یک برآمدگی منشوری باقی مانده که احتمالاً برای استفاده با نوعی مکانیزم طراحی شده بوده است.
همچنین در وجه‌های جانبی این سنگ عظیم شیارهایی وجود دارد که ممکن است برای حرکت دادن آن در کنار قطعات دیگر در یک سازه بزرگ‌تر به کار رفته باشند.
The Megalith Ishi-no-Hoden of Japan
This stone block weighs about 600 tons and could give clues to an unknown "ancient mechanism".
On one side there remains a prismatic protrusion that perhaps was intended to be used with some type of mechanism.
There are also grooves on the side faces of the megalith that could serve to move it along the counterparts in a larger structure.
