"For the seismic design of pipelines, the main considerations are seismic wave propagation and ground displacements due to soil failure. Mostly the strain in the pipeline is the governing criteria for designing the pipeline. Therefore, the procedure that is mainly employed for the pipeline design is displacement based."

On this auspicious occasion, *let us remember the golden heritage of our country, feel proud to be a part of India, and spend some time today in reflection of the true heroes of India*. Let us join our hands and work together to protect our nation from all the social evils that tarnish its greatness.

*"Science is a beautiful gift to humanity; we should not distort it."* - A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

National Science Day, celebrated annually on the 28th of February, *commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by the great Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman*. Humans explore the universe equipped with their five senses and call that journey science. Science is the antidote to the poison of superstitious notions.

CEST and ICE Family wish everyone *A Happy Science Day*.

*Maha Shivratri, or "The Great Night of Lord Shiva"*, is celebrated annually in the month of Phalguna as per the North India Hindu calendar in honour of Lord Shiva. The name also refers to the *night when Lord Shiva performs his cosmic dance called tandava*. This is a major Hindu festival, and it marks the remembrance of "overcoming darkness and ignorance" in life. Ardent devotees stay awake all night and remember Lord Shiva by chanting prayers, fasting and meditating.

So on this holy occasion, CEST and ICE family wish everyone a *Happy Maha Shivratri* and hope for everyone's well-being.
"A stressed ribbon bridge is a tension structure. The suspension cables are embedded in the deck which follows a catenary arc between supports. Unlike the simple span, the ribbon is stressed in traction, which adds to the stiffness of the structure."

*Holi, also known as the ‘festival of colours,’* is celebrated after the full moon in the month of ‘Phalguna’. It honours the vibrant hues of spring, and the bright powders and colour waters symbolize flames; the *colours act as a great leveller, which symbolizes equality*. The religious origin centres around the legend of Holika, sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu (hence the name Holi).

*CEST and ICE Clubs wish everyone Happy Holi*. Let the colours of Holi bring cheer and happiness to your life. This Holi, have a blast and play safe!
