When parents lose a child, words often fail. But presence, patience, and love never do. ๐Ÿค

Accompaniment is not about fixing grief or offering answers. It is about walking gently with those who mourn, listening without judgement, remembering their child by name, and holding space for sorrow, faith, and hope.

May we learn to accompany with compassion: praying, listening, and staying, even when the pain is long and the silence is heavy.

Mother Mary, pray for us. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

As the Jubilee Year of Hope draws to a close, Okkie reminds us that hope does not end with a celebration. It continues in how we live and serve.

Through his experience as a Jubilee volunteer in Vatican City, Okkie encountered God not in grand gestures, but in the ordinary rhythms of faithfulness, patience, and love.

โ€œI was transformed by the faith and hope of those I served โ€“ every volunteer who showed up again and again for duty at dawn; every weary pilgrim who whispered a prayer at the threshold of the Holy Door.โ€

May this Jubilee leave a lasting mark on our hearts. As we step into the days ahead, let us continue to be bearers of hope in our homes, our communities, and wherever we are called to serve.

The Magi travelled far to worship the Christ Child, bringing gifts fit for a King: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Epiphany reminds us that Jesus asks for those same gifts from us today: our hearts and priorities, our prayer and worship, and our willingness to love even when it costs us.

The feast of Epiphany is not only about recognising who Jesus is. It is about how we respond once we have found Him.

What gift will you bring to Christ today?

Like the song โ€œMary, Did You Knowโ€, sometimes we might wonder how much Mary knew before she said her yes to God.

May we learn from Mary how to trust God and respond to Him courageously, even if we do not know the full picture.

As we step into a new year and settle back into our routines, many of us carry a mix of hope, uncertainty, and the quiet pressure to have it all together. It can feel overwhelming, even before the year truly begins. Perhaps the truest resolution we can make isnโ€™t to do more or try harder, but to anchor ourselves in what never changes โ€” Christ. We wonโ€™t get it right every day, and there will be moments we stumble. But God doesnโ€™t ask us to be perfect. He simply invites us, time and again, to come back to Him and walk through life with Him.

The blank pages of a new calendar hold a gentle promise, a fresh start and a daily invitation to lean into Godโ€™s guidance and love. Without Him, even our best intentions can leave us feeling tired, restless, and empty. But in God, our days are given meaning and our hearts find true peace. May we choose, again and again, to ground ourselves deeply in Him this year.

As the Holy Door of St Peterโ€™s Basilica is officially closed today, we are reminded that Godโ€™s mercy is never closed to us. What draws to an end is not divine grace, but a sacred season in the life of the Church. The Jubilee may conclude, yet the heart of our merciful Father remains wide open โ€” ever inviting us to return to Him with trust, humility, and hope.

The Holy Door was never merely a physical passage. It was a spiritual threshold, calling us to set down the burdens we carry and to step into the healing embrace of Godโ€™s mercy. And even now, the Risen Lord continues to pass through the closed doors of our lives, gently knocking, patiently waiting to be welcomed in. May we carry the grace of this season beyond the Jubilee, keeping our hearts open and choosing, each day, to walk in mercy, hope, and faith.

Gathered in unity with the Holy Father, the Cardinals come together for his first Consistory of Cardinals on 7โ€“8 January. This is a sacred time of deep reflection, fraternal support, and wise counsel for the good of the whole Church.

As one Body in Christ, let us lift Pope Leo XIV and the College of Cardinals in our heartfelt prayers. May the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth and life, whisper gently in their hearts, attuning them to God's loving guidance for His pilgrim Church. ๐Ÿ™

Doubt rarely arrives all at once. More often, it slips in quietly โ€” through long seasons of waiting and prayers that seem to go unanswered.

Over time, it can make people question whether God is truly who He says He is, or whether miracles are meant for someone else. Faith can feel fragile when hope is delayed. Most donโ€™t want a sceptical heart, yet many find themselves carrying one.

And yet, so many still want to believe.

They want to believe that God is faithful. That He is able to do the impossible. Many are living in the waiting. Not fully understanding Godโ€™s plans, but still bringing their petitions before Him. Still hoping. Still praying. Still choosing not to give in to despair.

Even when we cannot see or understand what He is doing, God is not passive. Though His work may not be visible before our eyes, He is actively working all things for our good โ€” even as we wait.

From the dew that became manna in the desert, to the Child who became our Saviour, to the Eucharist that now nourishes our souls, God has shown us time and time again how deeply He provides and cares for His people.

May we give thanks to the Lord for His boundless love and generosity. May we thank Him for every blessing He has showered upon us like the dew, and above all, for being a God who humbles Himself so we may receive Him.

Start the new year by letting these words speak hope into your heart. ๐Ÿ™

The Jubilee of Hope may have drawn to a close, but our call to live as witnesses of hope remains. One of the most powerful ways we can do that is by sharing our stories of how God has been present, faithful, and good in our lives.

Through our sharings, may we strengthen one another to trust more deeply in His unchanging love and constant presence, even in the midst of struggle. ๐Ÿ™

โ€œDo you want to be healed?โ€

Jesus asks this not because He lacks the power to heal, but because He never forces His love upon us. Like the man at the pool of Bethesda, many of us have waited a long time, trying our best, holding on to hope, yet feeling helpless, overlooked, or tired of explaining why weโ€™re still here.

Jesus sees the effort. He knows the disappointments and the quiet frustrations we carry. And yet, He gently asks again: Do you want to be healed?

Sometimes, we grow so accustomed to surviving that healing feels unfamiliar, even unsettling. But let us never grow weary of bringing our yes to the Lord, of returning to Him again and again and whispering, โ€œYes, Lord, I want to be healed.โ€ Perhaps Jesus is inviting us to more than the healing we imagined, to a deeper freedom in places weโ€™ve quietly learned to live with.

Today, will we dare to say once more, โ€œYes, Lord, I want to be healed.โ€ ๐Ÿ™
