The Cardstack application is likely to be accessed via a device users are most comfortable with. For some, it is a desktop browser with MetaMask as the wallet, while other users may be more comfortable with a mobile wallet, such as a card wallet on iOS.

On the compiler front, we continue to work on migrating Cardstack from a configuration as JSON data to a CatalogJS code approach. This requires us to refactor many parts of the Cardstack V2 codebase, to take advantage of the terseness and performance of this new JavaScript-based approach.

On the Card compiler front, we continue to port the capability of nested cards—which is very important for the synthesis of data about assets—into the new (V3) version of the Cardstack Hub.
This work is done in the main monorepo, on an iterative basis—so we can strive to reduce the number of code lines that are necessary to express all the compositional concepts needed to support our upcoming products, including Card Space, Card Catalog, & Card Membership.

To streamline the development of the Web-based Card Pay dashboard dApp, the mobile Cardstack wallet, and the command-line utilities, we have extracted the common capabilities into something called the Card Pay SDK.
The Card Pay SDK provides an easy way for JavaScript developers to tap into our implementation of prepaid cards, supply depots, token bridges, and revenue pools.

We are extending an existing open-source library published by the Cardstack team, called the "Merkle Payment Pool", to create a multi-token distribution system.
This codebase will be included as a module in the CARD Protocol. It can also be used independently by other projects to leverage off-chain computation for determining criteria and reward amounts.

We reached a huge milestone by releasing the first beta launch of the Card Pay protocol, the Cardstack dApp, and the iOS Card Wallet.
These three components of software collaborate to create a layer 2 payment processing network that is fast, easy, and affordable. This network includes the core Card Pay protocol for payment processing and the Card Bridge protocol for layer 1 and layer 2 integration.

Here's the progress update the Cardstack team has made in these recent weeks:
Beta Program: We have rolled out features and bug fixes to our beta program participants that will become features in the Card Pay dApp and the Card Wallet mobile app.
App Stability: Once the feature completeness is improved, we will start a public beta where users can download the wallet directly from TestFlight and request test tokens to exercise the full life cycle of token suppliers, prepaid card issuers, and merchants and consumers.

Web3 dApps are typically used only by those who have wallets. As a result of the structures behind MetaMask and other injected wallets, the data displayed in webpages is not often sharable via URL or indexed by search engines like Google.
