Did you know about 70% of businesses face barriers when trying to export processed agricultural products? This is in part due to the lack of accredited laboratory testing services in Cambodia. 🔬
Cambodian agro-processors have had to rely on costly and time-consuming foreign testing services, hindering their competitiveness in exporting products.
Australia, through our CAPRED program, has partnered with the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge to launch the collaboration to establish accredited testing (ISO 17025) services – for pesticide residue, antibiotic residue and heavy metals. Cambodia eyes boost in Australian investment
Australian ambassador to Cambodia Derek Yip expressed interest in Cambodia’s infrastructure development plans, as trade between the two countries exceeded $220 million in the first three quarters of 2024.
Yip made the remarks during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, first vice-president of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) at the CDC on October 17.
At the outset, Yip expressed optimism and committed to enhancing cooperation in trade and investment while continuing efforts to improve Cambodia’s investment climate.
He highlighted Australia’s pride in actively participating in both government and private sector forums with the country through the Cambodia-Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED).

ក្នុងការរៀបចំសម្រាប់សន្និសីទកំពូលក្របខណ្ឌសហប្រជាជាតិ ស្តីពីការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុ លើកទី២៩ (CoP29) វេទិកាស្តីពីការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុកម្ពុជាឆ្នាំ២០២៤ បានប្រមូលផ្តុំអ្នកជំនាញខាងអាកាសធាតុជាង ៣០០ នាក់ ដើម្បីចូលរួមពិភាក្សាដោះស្រាយបញ្ហាប្រឈមអាកាសធាតុដ៏ធ្ងន់ធ្ងររបស់កម្ពុជា។ វេទិកានេះ មានកិច្ចពិភាក្សាចំនួន២៤ ការពិភាក្សាតុមូលចំនួនប្រាំមួយរបស់យុវជន និងការតាំងពិព័រណ៍សាធារណៈដែលបង្ហាញពីដំណោះស្រាយអាកាសធាតុ និងការច្នៃប្រឌិត។
ប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលីគឺជាអ្នកឧបត្ថម្ភផ្លូវការ និងរៀបចំកិច្ចពិភាក្សាក្រោមប្រធានបទដូចខាងក្រោម៖
🌍 ការផ្តល់ហិរញ្ញប្បទានដល់សកម្មភាពអាកាសធាតុដែលដឹកនាំដោយវិស័យឯកជន
🌾 ក្របខណ្ឌបរិស្ថាន សង្គម និងអភិបាលកិច្ច (ESG) សម្រាប់អាជីវកម្មកសិផលដែលផ្តោតលើការនាំចេញ
🚰 ការពន្លឿននូវការទទួលបាននុវទឹកស្អាតប្រើប្រាស់នៅ ទីជនបទនៅកម្ពុជាប្រកបដោយភាពធន់ទៅនឹងអាកាសធាតុ និង និងបរិយាបន្ន ។
នៅឯពិព័រណ៍ដំណោះស្រាយប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព ប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលី តាមរយៈមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលអូស្ត្រាលីសម្រាប់ការស្រាវជ្រាវកសិកម្មអន្តរជាតិ កម្មវិធី #CAPRED និងកម្មវិធីផ្សេងៗទៀត បានបង្ហាញអំពីបច្ចេកវិទ្យាកសិកម្មឆ្លាតវៃ និងសកម្មភាពរបស់យើងដែលផ្តោតលើការកសាងប្រទេសកម្ពុជាដែលធន់នឹងអាកាសធាតុ។

Our commitment was underscored at the Cambodia Climate Change Forum2024 (CCCF24). Ambassador Yip joined HE Dr Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, and other partners at the forum.
In preparation for COP29, CCCF24 convened over 300 climate actors to address Cambodia's pressing climate challenges. The summit featured 24 plenary sessions, 6 youth roundtable discussions and a public exhibition showcasing climate solutions and innovations.
Australia was an official sponsor and hosted sessions on:
🌍 financing private sector-led climate actions
🌾 environmental, social, and governance (ESG) for export-oriented agribusinesses
🚰 accelerating climate resilient and inclusive clean water access for rural Cambodia.
At the Sustainable Solutions Expo, Australia, through @ACIARAustralia, #CAPRED and other programs, showcased climate-smart agricultural technologies, and our activities targeted at building a climate-resilient Cambodia.
