# Effective from today

⭐ The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a hike in ATM withdrawal charges starting today the customers will now have to pay Rs 23 per transaction beyond the free monthly limit.

~ This marks an increase of Rs 2 from the current charge of Rs 21 per transaction.

👉 According to the RBI guidelines, bank account holders will get

- 5 free transactions per month (both financial and non-financial) at ATMs of their own bank.

- 3 free transactions per month at ATMs of other banks in metro cities.

- 5 free transactions per month at ATMs of other banks in non-metro areas.
