On January 25, 2026, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) observed Baloch Genocide Remembrance Day across Balochistan. The day commemorates the January 25, 2014 discovery of more than 100 mutilated bodies in mass graves at Tootak, Khuzdar. These coordinated initiatives aimed to honor the victims, document state violence, and demand international recognition and accountability.

25 January is not an ordinary day. It is the day when, in Tootak, more than 100 bodies of forcibly disappeared Baloch were dumped and buried as unidentified. Their families are still waiting for truth and justice.
We mark this day to remind the world how the state is carrying out systematic genocide against the Baloch people through enforced disappearances, fake encounters, and extrajudicial killings.
Today, repression has reached a new level. Baloch women are now also being forcibly disappeared, only to spread fear and silence the Baloch people, so that they do not raise their voices for their basic human rights.
But we want to state this clearly: burying bodies will not bury the truth, and abducting women and children will not silence our struggle.
25 January is not just a day of mourning. It is a day of remembrance, resistance, and a call for justice and human rights.
