If you or anyone you know supports the idea of appointing a military advisor to the National Security Council (NSC) or the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy (OSTP), focused on proof-of-work technology, please consider sharing this memo with the President-Elect’s transition team.

I’ve been advising on the cybersecurity advantages of proof-of-work technology within the DoD for years. I believe that U.S. leadership in Bitcoin and hashing technology is essential to national security, not for its financial potential, but for its strategic implications.

If such a position were created, I would be honored to apply. With a little over four years until retirement, I’m fully committed to using my remaining active-duty years to help senior leaders understand the strategic value of proof-of-work technology. My goal is to advance research on its cybersecurity applications and establish it as a vital national security asset.
