📌 Describe a website that sells second-hand items.

You should say:
🔵 what it is
🔵 how you found out about it
🔵 what people can buy from it
🔵 whether you like it

BAND 7.0+ ANSWER

One online platform I’d like to talk about is actually a Telegram group rather than a traditional website, but it works similarly and serves the same purpose. The group is specifically made for selling second-hand books, especially among students. I came across it when one of my classmates shared the link in our school chat, saying it was a good place to buy affordable study materials.

In the group, people usually post pictures of the books they want to sell, along with a short description and the price. Most of the books are related to school subjects, entrance exams, or language learning like IELTS. Buyers can directly contact the seller through private messages, so the whole process is quite fast and convenient.

I personally really like this group because it’s budget-friendly and also supports reusing items, which is good for the environment. I’ve bought a few useful books from there at much lower prices than in stores, and they were in good condition. Overall, I think it’s a great initiative, especially for students who want to save money and still get the resources they need.

Today I've asked some techniques for speaking part 1/3 and I'll share one of them with you: Honey Cake strategy.

Question:

Why do many people go to scenic spots in person instead of just reading about them in books?

🍯 Honey Cake Answer (Layer by Layer)

1. Short direct answer (Top layer):
Because experiencing a place in real life is far more powerful than just reading about it.

2. Explanation (Middle layer):
Books can describe how a place looks or feels, but they can’t give you the full sensory experience—like the smell of fresh air, the sound of birds, or the view with your own eyes.

3. Example or personal touch (Bottom layer):
For instance, I visited a mountain area last year, and the peace I felt there couldn’t be put into words. No book could have prepared me for how beautiful and calming it actually was.

📌This answer is natural, structured, and detailed enough for a Band 7+ score.
